Frutti Tutti is a smartphone-based participatory work developed during a residency at Testing Grounds alongside Melbourne’s Queen Victoria Market. Drawing on conversations with market visitors, growers and stallholders about fruit—including taste, memory, consumption, waste, production and the environment—the work combined six non-linear videos with an interwoven soundscape of participants’ voices. Audiences followed a map through the market, accessing each work via QR codes while moving among the stalls. Through this sensory encounter with voices, images, smells, sounds and produce, Frutti Tutti invited participants to consider how fruit connects us to wider social, cultural, environmental, economic and political ecosystems.
